Exposures of interest in the management brief are all visible and accessible. The quarry is extensively used by mountain bikers with a few routes down in to the quarry having been made along the face. The current levels of erosion caused by this are acceptable but should be monitored in the future. The growth of young trees and scrub within the main quarry and along the face may need some form of control to prevent the features of interest from being obscured in the future. The Cephalapod Beds are poorly exposed at the top of the track (northeast at the track point). However, it would be possible to clear a section by hand if necessary, if required, for investigation. Site is deemed to be in favourable condition. |
