Unit ID: 1013645
Unit area: 1 hectares
Main habitat: Earth heritage
Condition:   Favourable
Latest assessment date: 12 October 2011
Condition assessment comment: Access in to the site is slightly obstructed by growth of scrub and trees at the Eastern end. Unchecked growth of ash trees remain the main threat to this site. A 20-30 m length of the cutting face has been cleared of scrub and ash in the past, the eastern end of which is marked by an English Nature sign. The site floor should be kept clear to maintain access while some canopy cover is beneficial to shade out vegetation growth along the face. Some of the exposed length has significant grass cover bur should reduce in time if selective canopy cover allowed to develop whilst keeping the access and exposures themselves free of obstruction/vegetation. Currently the site is meeting conservation objectives and is in favourable condition
