The main site is being managed as an active quarry with small scale quarrying taking place, leaving good exposures of the main interest features. The fish bed area may need further assessment to ascertain current extent but area idenfied and accessible. Sections through the sequence of beds are well exposed in the main active quarry. The amount of talus does not appear to be having a detrimental effect on the exposure. Location and effect of recent tipping at the adjacent recycling business, as part of the site, should be looked in to further to determine if having a detrimental effect and whether any remedy is required. Quarrying still within marked SSSI boundary. |
